{Honest} Diapers: A Better Choice for Baby

We have had quite a winter season with illnesses that bombarded our family like none other year.  From allergies and stomach flues to chronic coughing and runny noses, to a relentless case of hives, I've never before actually LOOKED FORWARD TO the arrival of the Arizona summer heat! Ugh!


So, regarding the hives.  My daughter came down with these, and they lasted a good two weeks.  If you've experienced hives, you'll know that they come and go as they seemingly please, and just when you think they're gone, they reappear somewhere else a little later.  BEYOND FRUSTRATING for a mother!

Of course, we took her to the doctor, where they advised me it was probably a viral infection versus an allergy due to her age (a toddler).  They prescribed taking doses of benadryl to ease the itching and offer some relief to them.  We did use the benadryl, but this did nothing to really prevent the hives from resurfacing.  It did provide some relief from the itching, I'll admit, but nothing to really resolve the {root of the} problem.  So I did what most of you probably do: I went online and started researching natural ways to remedy this pain in the rear the hives.  From that, we tried oatmeal & tea tree oil baths.  Beyond that, "natural remedies," as far as Google is concerned, were a matter of waiting it out.  Using my own rational judgment,  I also switched her laundry back to the baby detergent and got some organic diaper rash cream & lotion for her.  Still, the hives occurred.

The most interesting symptom of the hives was that, in addition to them being all over her body, she also experienced a ridiculously red rash on her bottom.  It wasn't a "normal" diaper rash -- it was somewhat of a cross between diaper rash and hives {sorry - no pictures -- she'd kill me if I ever posted pictures of her like that!}.  Anyway, the rash appeared in the morning, after having slept in her diaper all night long.  This quickly prompted me to look for a "greener" diaper alternative.

Thank GOD {literally!!} for the "Parenting" magazine showing up in my mailbox during the midst of this episode, because there it was, headlined in that particular issue, "The Honest Company."  And what do they do, you ask?  Well, they specialize in "green," safe products -- everything from diapers to cleaning products {shampoo, hand soap, sunscreen, laundry detergent, etcetera}.  It was started by the actress, Jessica Alba, after she had kids and wanted something more safe and natural for her own pipsqueaks.

I immediately ordered their sampler kit and was BEYOND THRILLED with the products I received!  And guess what?  The very next morning when my daughter woke up?  NO diaper rash or red bottom what.so.ever!  Ahhhh-mazing! Needless to say, I immediately signed up for their full monthly delivery plan -- diapers, wipes, healing balm and all!

So this led me to start researching more about diapers.  Mind you, I have actually dabbled in cloth diapers, which my daughter used for her first 6 months of life, in fact.  But as she began to crawl and move more, the bulky cloth diapers became cumbersome, and we made the switch to the leaner disposables.  {If you can get through using cloth diapers, by all means, go for it!  They just didn't work for us}.  The fabulous thing about "The Honest Company" diapers is that they are natural {NO nasty chemicals!!} AND disposable!!  Um, and super cute, too, might I add!  {My daughter now asks for her "ice cream diapers" all the time!}.

So here's the deal on the typical cloth diapers in the industry {as taken from "The Honest Company" website}:

*First off, they are not required to reveal what's inside them {hmmmmm.....}
*There are tons of plastics and chemicals in them
*The plastics emit volatile organic compounds" {VOCS}
*Fragrances and lotions aplenty {made from who knows what?  but many lotions do contain phthalates that are a big no-no}
*Synthetic dyes
*Their bleaching process releases dioxins into the environment

And guess what these dioxins do?  Well, they're known as major cancer causer in us.  Sounds great, eh?  When you actually stop to think about it, it's beyond understanding that these other diaper companies could even consider putting the chemicals they use into diapers.  There needs to be a serious change in the industry!

On top of that, a study suggests there may be a link between these disposable diapers and asthma {hmmm...that would explain the ridiculous increase in asthma in kids}. Another study suggests a possible link between the dyes in diapers and diaper rashes.  That would make sense.

So, all this to say, I URGE you to try to find a safer, better alternative to your baby's diapers!!  As I said, if you can do the cloth diapers, I still think they're the best option out there.  But if those aren't for you {be it time, maintenance, etcetera, then as far as I can tell, the diapers from "The Honest Company" are a top-of-the-line choice for disposable diapers for your baby.

*heavy metal FREE

You MUST stop to wonder about the rash & hives disappearing when we switched to these natural diapers.  The most important thing I can say here is that these diapers made a DIFFERENCE for us.  I'm not just saying they are good and "green," we actually saw the difference!  And I can tell you, mother to mother, that I feel so, SO much better knowing she is in chemical-free diapers....a part of infancy and toddler-hood that touches their skin day in and day out for 2 to 3 to even 4 years.

Make the switch!!!

A Toy Garden {Review & GIVEAWAY!}*CLOSED

 A Toy Garden is an online shop owned by Sonya, a mother of two. Sonya created her business after people began showing interest in her own hand-made products she has made for her daughter when she was little.  Since then, she has expanded her shop to offer many other products, as well, although most {if not all} are made from natural "waldorf-inspired" materials {think cotton, silk, wood, wool, etcetera}.

A Toy Garden recently sent us some of their "Stockmar" crayons that they carry.  Stockmar crayons are a high quality crayon made from beeswax and are produced in Germany.   What's so special about beeswax, you ask?  Well, for starters they're environmentally friendly, so even if your little one sticks this in his or her mouth, you don't have to worry about any nasty chemicals.  Secondly, the Stockmar crayons produce more brilliant colors.  This means the picture little Johnny draws will be "truer" picture that's more vibrant and pleasing to the eye!

I also particularly like that they come in a tin box, that clasps shut.  This way, it cannot open accidentally, and spill the crayons all over.  Additionally, they are a chunky, rectangular-shaped crayon. For this reason, they are especially nice for little hands, as they're easy to grasp, not to mention, they can't roll off the table onto the ground.  Plus, as they have no paper around them, no caps and no plastic tube surrounding them, no matter how the little hands scribble with them, they'll "work" for your budding artist!  I tried these out with my 1 year old, who has a natural knack for wanting to color.  With other crayons or markers, she gives up more quickly because of one end "not working" {due to a cap, or plastic end of a tube}.  But with these, all sides of the crayon work!

The only drawbacks with these are that {as my 4-year old son pointed out} they 1) smell kinda funny, 2) are difficult to use for filling in coloring pages {you know, the ones with the black lines} because they are so chunky and don't have one nice sharper end, so it's hard to stay in between the lines, and 3} are pricey.  But, they will last for a long time...heck, DECADES even!  So you could use these for a lifetime, really, which is worth the price ticket right there.

{Nova Nature} Review & GIVEAWAY!

Babies love to chew on things.  Anything.  Everything. And I often find myself wondering, "Wait.  I know she is really enjoying chewing on this thing.  But what if it has lead paint in it?"  when our little one digs her teeth into a plasticky toy.  It's the Mom in each of us.  It's natural for us to think this way...and worry this way.  I think it's part of every Mom's middle name: "Jane Worry-Wart-Mom Doe." Are you with me here???

Nova Nature has a great solution for us {at least regarding this one aspect of our many worries - ha!}!  Nova Nature carries ONLY eco-friendly, non-toxic, natural teethers and gifts ~ namely, rubber toys & teethers and 3D wooden puzzles.

We received 4 of their Natural Rubber Toys recently ~ the duck, frog, seahorse {so cute!} and dolphin.  And, first of all, I must say I love the packaging.  The toys come in simple, recyclable and perfectly cute little boxes.  The image of the toy is on the outside of the box, along with a description of the toy and its eco-friendly & safe {that is, BPA-free, PVC-free and phthalate-free} qualities.

Now, when you feel the toys, they feel different from other plastic toys you've felt.  Their texture is softer, more pliable and thinner.  Sounds perfect for chewing on, right?  At least, that's what I thought of...oh, and so did our 10-month old. :) Here's what I found out about why they are so different: Nova Nature's rubber toys are constructed from the milk or sap of the common rubber tree known as the Hevea brasiliensis, which is harvest withOUT the use of herbicides and is readily biodegradable.  Perfect!

They also squeak when you squish them, which is always a nice surprise for little ones!  Our 10 month old can actually easily get them to squeak {since they are so soft & pliable}, unlike many other squeakable but hard plastic toys we have.  Oh, and if your older kids get a hold of these and throw them at something {or someone...c'mon, we all know this happens!}, these are so soft, they won't hurt.  With our nearly 4-year old, we play "catch" with them - Bonus!

My favorite of the four we received is the seahorse just because he's so darn cute and different.  I mean, you'll find tons of rubber ducks and frogs around, but how often do you find a seahorse, you know?  Mr. Seahorse also has more texture to him, which I like.  Baby K also grabbed this one first.  She definitely prefers the seahorse and duck over the other 2 we got {I'm thinking she has a thing for yellow}.  So, when choosing one, it might be wise to go brighter...or perhaps just pick what color your little one likes best.  Ultimately, you can't go wrong with any of the choices, though, so don't sweat it!

{HAPPYBABY} Review & GIVEAWAY! {giveaway is closed}.

If you're like me, you're always looking for what's best for baby ~ from hip, couture clothing to the healthiest, freshest food.

Now, I do make my own baby food because I think you can't get any fresher, healthier or tastier than making it yourself.  But sometimes we travel, or I'm too tired to whip up a new batch myself, or I just want to have some other things on hand that I myself don't typically make.  That's where the search for the best {commercial} baby foods comes into play.

Meet HAPPYBABY.  It's a company that offers frozen organic baby meals, probiotic {a "friendly" bacteria that helps discourage the growth of harmful, disease-causing bacteria} dry cereals with DHA {an omega-3 essential fatty acid to help develop eye and brain tissue}, toddler meals with hidden veggies, organic puff grain snacks {for baby and toddler alike} and organic freeze-dried yogurt snacks. And, as they are organic, they contain no pesticides, chemical fertilizers or preservatives.  Additionally, they offer allergen-free options - something many families deal with nowadays, I realize....it's good to see that another company realizes it, too!  And is if those weren't reasons enough to try out HAPPYBABY, for every package of their food you buy, HAPPYBABY gives to "Project Peanut Butter," which helps feed malnourished children in Malawi.


Well, we were able to test out pretty much all their products at our house ~ from their organic dry cereals and organic puffs to their Happy Bites toddler meals, we gave them a whirl.  So as our baby girl was brand new to eating solids, we started with the organic rice cereal.  And I have to confess - she didn't like it.  That being said, she hasn't liked any of the rice cereals we've tried since then!  Now, if you mix it with fruit, that's a whole different story -- and a success, at that!  So that's a win in my book!

Then we moved on to the Organic Puffs {we tried apple}.  They have half the sugar of other leading brands, are made from whole grains and are a good source of iron, vitamin D, calcium and B vitamins.  Plus, they help your little one develop small motor skills -- that is, self feeding. Baby K LOVES these and just can't get enough!  Even my 3 1/2 year old likes them!  Honestly, I'm not sure why...I tried one and thought it tasted like cardboard!  But more power to me AND them!! A healthy snack they crave!

 Next up was the HAPPYBABY Fresh Organic Frozen Baby Meals.  We tried the butternut squash & apple duo, along with a couple other flavors.  They come frozen in a package of 12 1 ounce-sized cups.  You can thaw overnight, or run under some hot water {for a mere few seconds}, and they pop right out of the tray.  The flavors are NOT mixed {instead, it's 6 cups of each flavor, in this case 6 apple and 6 squash}, but you can mix them together, as I did, and Baby K liked!  They're delicious, organic, & convenient...what more need I say?

And lastly, we tried the HAPPYBITES for toddlers.  We tried the mac & cheese & veggie tots {they also offer salmon stix & chicken bites in these}.  I thought both were fabulous {I would be happy to eat the mac & cheese ones myself!}, and so did our little guy.  They are organic, of course, and easy to prepare - simply heat in the microwave.  All their HAPPYBITES have hidden veggies, too, and are perfectly sized for smaller hands to hold.

What I also love is that HAPPYBABY has many recipes for you to make your own healthy meals for your little tykes!  They include using the HAPPYBABY products, and some baked goods {e.g., muffins} are good at hiding the nutritional ingredients - "Whoo-hoo!" for that ~ we with toddlers/pre-schoolers know how difficult it can be to get the "greens" into their little bodies sometimes, right?!

Here is a sample recipe from HAPPYBABY:

French Toast with Hidden Veggies

2 organic eggs

¼ cup of organic whole milk

1 tsp of vanilla

Cinnamon

1 cube (thawed) of HAPPYBABY Grrreat Greens

2 slices of bread (sprouted grain, flourless if possible)

Lightly beat the eggs in a bowl; add the milk, vanilla and great greens. Sprinkle cinnamon to taste.

Dip the bread and place in a hot non-stick pan. Use butter to coat it if you need to.
Serve with natural maple syrup OR try serving it with YoBaby Drinkable Yogurts to sweeten it! Our babies love it!

Curious...about Curious George.

So my 3 1/2 y.o. son has always been a big fan of Curious George.  Yes, that lovable, laughable bundle of furry fluff-of-a-monkey - George. And, at first, I thought nothing of it.  That is, until I began reading the stories over and over and finally realizing something....

The stories are all about receiving praise & rewards when you've done something wrong {insert GASP here!!}.   Here are just a few examples right off the top of my head {I told you that I've read these just a few times!!} :)

*George climbs onto the conveyor belt at the chocolate factory and eats all the chocolates {bad monkey!}, but then he is the speedy monkey to help catch up the workers to get the chocolates into their boxes {good monkey!}, and he gets rewarded with more chocolates at the end.

*George attends story time at the library, only to get bored and not only leave story time, but also take one of the books the librarian had behind her to read to the kids.  He then proceeds to put dozens of books in a rollaway cart and actually rolls the whole thing down a ramp and then crashes, leaving books flying everywhere {bad monkey!}.    But the other kids then come and find some of the books he had in his cart and want to take them home {good monkey {for helping other kids be interested in books!}}; the kids also help George put the rest of the books away, and George even earns himself his own library card.

*George went to the train station and decided it was a good idea to change all the numbers for the arrival & departure times of the trains {bad monkey!}.  While in hiding after this, he sees a little boy who got away from his dad.  The boy's toy train is rolling toward the real train {subway} track, and the boy is following it.  George runs to grab the toy train and catch it before it falls, which of course, prevents the little boy from falling down into the tracks {good monkey!}.  He is then rewarded with driving with the engineer of the train.

All that being said, I know that sometimes George's mishaps are mistakes, and so I can't really scold him for that.  But often times, he purposely is disobeying "the man with the yellow hat."  So I can't help but ask, "Are these books really good for our kids to read?"  Perhaps not.  But I'm still going to read them to my son.  Why?  Well, he loves that little monkey.  But even more than that, I'll be sure to let him know that monkeys can get away with things that we humans can't.  That, as a monkey, he behaves the way he does because a) he's curious {versus deliberately disobedient}, and b} he's an animal with instincts.  Furthermore, my son will learn that people {monkeys} make mistakes, but they can often overcome their mistakes {and please note, "mistakes" does NOT equal "intentional misbehavior" -- that's a different lesson, to be read, "these are examples of things NOT to do!} and even make good of them.  And I think that's a good lesson for us all to keep in mind.

{Mobi} Digital Cam Review and GIVEAWAY! *GIVEAWAY CLOSED*

I think every family I know that has a baby has some type of monitor to, well, monitor their baby.  But there really are soooo many to choose from!  Where does one start in the search for a good one?

Lucky for you, I recently had the privilege of reviewing the Mobicam Digital from Mobi.  Here's what I immediately noticed about it upon removing it from its box {these were particularly evident to me since the last monitor we had purchased was from 4 years ago...and much dated}:  It's sleek, easy to transport and ready to use out of the box. Those are three things that make me happy because a) I don't want something that takes up a lot of space, and b) I really hate poring over oodles of directions.  Oh, and of course, this monitor actually has a camera so that you can see your baby - not just hear him or her {although it is also nice that you can just listen and turn off the vision portion, too, if you like}.

After delving into its features even further, I discovered these qualities about the Mobicam Digital:
*has DigiLock Wireless with FHSS technology for privacy
*has a transmission range of up to 450 feet
*features night vision with a 30 foot range to view in total darkness
*has a built-in night light on camera
*the 2.4" color LCD screen tilts for optimal viewing angles
*features an extra wide camera angle to allow you to see more of the room
*has audio/video output/cable for connection to the televisionor recorder
*includes a wall mount for the camera
*includes 8-hour rechargeable Li-ion batteries

And for you "techies" out there, they also offer an Internet Kit {to purchase separately} so that you can monitor sound and picture remotely from your computer or another Internet device.  What's really cool about it?  You can have an email or text sent to you when motion occurs, for example! Wow!

So, the most important thing is that the camera works like a charm.  Clear picture, no fuzz, & good volume control.  There is no bright light on the monitor either, meaning you, the parent, can sleep better without some big glaring red light in your face all night long {trust me...I know this to be a big benefit since our last monitor had that!}.  And, the light on the receiver in baby's room is a nice blue glow that hardly puts out any light at all, meaning it won't distract baby's sleep.

We've all been there before. Baby is crying, but we can't figure out why. Is she wet?  No.  Is she hungry? No. Does she just want to be held? No.  Just what is the problem?

Well, here's a solution for you: Mocobabies.  Mocobabies can help you communicate with your baby, even before she's able to speak.  How?  Sign language.   And research out there is showing some big benefits for using baby sign language:

What I particularly love about mocobabies is that they offer simple tools that make signing both fun and easy.  Because if it's not fun and easy, after all, we're probably not going to do it, right?  Instead of some huge book that you need to flip through to find what you're looking for, they offer simple-to-use and easy-to-find flash cards, decals and placemats.

I LOVE the flash cards!  In this mocobabies set, they've included practical first-time signs for "eat," "more," "milk," and "all done" plus additional cards for some animals, food and everyday signs.  All 35 cards included in the set are laminated on both sides so that they do not tear or get ruined by your drooling baby!  On one side of each card is a picture of the action/thing you're signing, and on the other side of the card are images that show you what your hands need to do to make the sign for that word/phrase.  I also love that they come in an uber-cool tin for easy stow-and-go! 

The mocobabies signing decals also come in a little, sophisticated tin - so stylish!  The idea here is that you can put these stickers anywhere around your house to help both you and baby/toddler remember and learn to sign different things in your daily life.  The decals are repositionable, so you can move them from place to place as necessary.  These decals are ideally placed on things like walls, mirrors and windows.  However, mocobabies does include some "tester" (blank) decals that you can place on different items to see what they do stick to and can safely be removed from.  The decals feature simple images of hands and how they are moved to sign for a word/phrase. Included in the set are signs for manners ("please" and "thank you"), first signs ("eat," "more," "milk," "finished"), warning signs (like "no," and "stop"), wash-up signs (like "dirty," and "wash hands,"), playful signs (like "share," and "toys"), bedtime signs (like "sleep," and "blanket") and on-the-go signs (like "car," and "outside"). 

Additionally, mocobabies offers a double-sided placemat to use at mealtime.  It has a protective finish so that even the messiest of babies can't destroy it, and it features bright colors that interest baby.  It is done in a cool, retro fashion, and on it are basic signs for meal-time fun, such as how to sign for "finished," "more" and "milk" among others.  These placemats are great, too, because not only do they remind you to use your signing at mealtime {and have the signs right there for you to see without having to look them up in some book}, but they are also fabulous for an older sibling to be able to join along in the fun!

My favorite product of mocobabies is definitely the signing flash cards.  They are easy to use, practical and perfectly sized to use at home and for traveling.  I think a few of the flashcards are somewhat useless, however, as I don't think my baby really needs to know the sign for "hippo" or "horse," for example.  Some other more practical words would be a better fit.  Regarding the decals, I like the idea of them, but prefer that they came in words that physically described the object they're actually stuck to.  For example, I would like to see a decal for the word, "book," and then be able to place that decal on a book.  I love mocobabies' new {but not yet available!} alphabet poster.  The poster has all letters of the alphabet on it, of course, and some of the letters also feature an object with which that particular letter begins (for example, next to the letter "b" is a bird).  The poster is in your basic reds, oranges, yellows, greens and blues, although not in the primary colors but instead more muted, sophisticated tones.  These posters are perfect to frame and hang up in your child's room to help him or her learn the alphabet, and they also make for some cute nursery or toddler room decor.  I do wish, however, that every letter had a coordinating item that begins with that letter. Also, I'm not quite sure what the poster as to do with baby signing, if anything, but regardless, they're adorable and practical to teach the alphabet.

We are currently working on using these with our 5 month-old.  We just started, so it's a little disgruntling right now, because she isn't signing back.  But that's normal and to be expected.  Apparently children don't start signing until they're about 8 months old or so.  But I can give credence to the fact that my first-born did sign to me!  Granted, we didn't have the mocobabies products with him, but he did sign the few signs we taught him.  So, I can say that signing works! You just have to put in the time and effort...and mocobabies can help you do so in a playful, interactive and engaging manner.

GIVEAWAY & Review of {Goodnite Lite} *GIVEAWAY CLOSED*

Our 3 year-old is an early riser {we're talking 6:00 - 6:30 ish a.m.}.  I am not {if my choice, I'd sleep until 9:00 every morning...probably later if I could stay up later at night working on my sewing}.  And with a newborn in the mix {who I've proclaimed as "World's Worst Sleeper}, I'm simply not getting much sleep these days.  Welcome, Zombieland {sigh}.

BUT.  I found help!  Hallelujah! I. Found. Help. 

It's called the "GoodNite Lite."  It's really quite a simple idea, but oh-so-magical!  Here's the {ingenious!} idea: When it's time to sleep, it looks like a moon.  When it's time to get up, it looks like a sun.  All you have to do is decide what time bedtime is, and what time your kids should be getting up, and you set the clock to change images accordingly.  So when your child wakes up at 6:00 a.m. like mine, and comes bombarding into your room, saying, "Hey! It's daytime!" {true story}, you can respond with, "Really?  Are you sure?  Did you check your GoodNite Lite? What's it say?"  And guess what? If it's still displaying the moon, back to bed little Johnny goes!

As quoted from their website,

"Having a bright light, even a regular nightlight, on in a child's room inhibits teaching them that when it is dark, it is time for sleep and when it is light, its time to get up. The objective is to educate children to associate light with the daytime activities, and darkness with nighttime and rest. Ideally, the night light would be on a timer such that the light will be bright while they first go to sleep, and automatically dim after a set time. The Good Nite Lite implements exactly this approach and, in addition, provides additional reinforcement that its time to rest by displaying an easily recognized "Moon" caricature."

And this means better, healthy sleep for the whole family!  It's really just Pavlov's law {remember the experiment with the dog salivating when he heard a bell?}, meaning once you've reset your child's internal clock {wake-time}, you can probably stop using the light.  Of course, you'll still want to keep it around once that happens, because you can always use it to readjust their internal clock when necessary {for example, when school starts, and they need to be waking up earlier, or when summertime comes, and you'd prefer that they sleep in a little later}.

So we received our GoodNite Lite {sooo thrilled when it arrived in the mail!} this past week, and I was eager to test it out, of course.  First thing I needed to do was set the current time, and set the day-time and night-time times.  Turns out, it was a piece of cake, and I had all the proper times set in just a minute or two.  Then we headed to our little guy's room and plugged it in. I told him that this was his new "alarm clock," and that when it was time for bed, a moon would show up on the clock, and when it was time to get up, the sun would display visually.  He was definitely fine with this concept and eager to meet the Moon and Sun {as was I!}!

So that night, per instructions, we set the sun to show up at 6:30 {his normal waking time}.  We did this for a couple days.  Then we changed it so that the sun wouldn't come up until 6:50 a.m.  {I should point out here that the instruction advise increasing the wake-up time by 15 minute increments until you get to the desired wake-up time}. My ultimate goal is 7:00 a.m., but as he's currently waking up before 6:50, I'm going to wait a while to do that.  That being said, he stays in his room until 6:50, when he see the Sun and knows it's permissible to leave his room/get out of bed!  So, hooray! It works!  I get to sleep in later without being interrupted, and honestly, our little guy bsolutely loves his new "clock!"  And not that we ever had a problem with his willingness to go to bed either, but now he's actually excited to see when the Moon comes up...and, of course, then knows it's time for sleep.  Oh.  And he loves that he has his own special clock.  It's a winner for both parties!

My only complaint would be that the Moon exudes a bright light in my opinion {the room glows a blue hue}.  However, as noted in the quote at the beginning of this post, the light is set to dim after some time.  It's just that we were used to having the room completely dark.  That being said, though, our son doesn't mind the light, and it hasn't kept him from falling asleep at all either.

If you have a child who normally sleeps in the dark than we don’t encourage introducing a light into their sleep routine, so with that said we do have some options. First you can move the nite lite to the hallway to act more as a toll gate (Again, Moon on everyone is resting....Sun on...your job to wake us). The second option is to program the Moon to illuminate 1 minute before the Sun. This way you use only the Sun and don’t have the nite lite on all night.
