I've been working really hard lately to come up with some awesome items for the baby boys.  I think our MOD FRAY Collection and TIE BIBS are a good start...but I'm still not satisfied....

That being said, I am very excited to report that I have a BIG IDEA in the making!  I'm in the works with my husband to bring you something very special....  So as long as it works, I think it will be HUGE! {Stay tuned for more details!}

We received the RIO Peasant Dress in the "Newspaper" fabric, and it is oh-so-precious...and very couture! It's an A-line cut dress, and it's just beautifully created, not to mention unique! It {along with all Babybeenos clothing} comes with a professional size tag and hang tag, and the sizing is right on.

NEW! Little Drooler Bibs

So I had a recent custom request to make smaller bibs...and at first, I was thinking, "Why would you want even smaller bibs?"  And then, I had an epiphany.  Duh.  Why didn't I think of these before?  I mean, I was the one who had the kid with the massive wet ring around his neck from drooling all day long!!

Soooo...I'd like to introduce you to our "Little Drooler" bibs!  Small enough to not be intrusive in your baby's play, but big enough so that they won't be wet around the neck all day long.  Oh...and you won't have to change their outfit 5 times a day! Score!!

Annual Survey for Your Kids - Fun Memento to Keep!

So Little A Train starts pre-school today.  I can hardly believe it.  Just where does the time go?


I'm a big fan of traditions, so I wanted to come up with something we could do every year when school time comes around.  Now, I have to admit.  This idea is NOT my own, but I saw my friend did it, and I thought, "Hey, what a great idea!"  {Thanks, Nicole!}.

So this is it: an annual survey to take every year with each of your kiddos, surveying their favorites!  And what a sacred, simple memento to store in their Keepsake Box {I'm going to keep it really simple, and just put responses on index cards}.  It will be fun to see how his answers change over the years!

Here are Little A Train's responses for 2010 (3 years old):

Mommyhood-ism #3: I'll Take Mine with a Side of Guilt, Please.

Well, maybe "please" isn't the right word here.  But Mommyhood definitely IS ordered with a side of guilt!  If you've been a Mom for probably, ohhhhhhh, a few mere seconds, you already are starting to realize this!!

I'm not sure why this is, but it most truly is.  From the moment we first get our precious baby in our arms and try to sleep that first night, we get a pang of guilt.  At first, it's because we just want to sleep, but this new being is demanding we feed them seemingly all the time {equals guilt}. Then, we simply must do the dishes and can't pick little Joey up every time he cries {equals guilt}.  Fast forward a few more months, and we are trying to cook dinner and little Joey is now upset because we can't continually play with him {equals guilt}. Now little Joey wants "Toy X," and we can't afford it {equals, yup, you guessed it: more guilt}.

Do you see where I'm going with this?  And I hate to be the bearer of {more} bad news, but according to my mom {who has 4 children in their 30s and 40s}, this only persists.  Whaaaaaaaaaaat?  You've GOT to be kidding me!  What a cruel joke to play on mothers!!

But, alas.  T'is true.  So I tell you this not to make you feel bad, but just to let you know THAT IT'S NORMAL!  Every Mom feels this, and if they say they don't, well then, they're lying!!  My remedy for it?  Join a playgroup and vent with other Moms who are going through those very same trials you are!  I promise ~ you'll feel better!!
